Obituary

Virginia Lee Baum Taylor, 90, of Bella Vista, passed away Monday February 3, 2020. She was born December 2, 1929 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Jacob and Elsie Baum. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Jack Taylor (“Jack”), her three sisters, Amy Lois Baum, Phyllis Slaven, and Glendoris “Glennie” Williams, her brother, Alden Baum, and her grandson, Zachary Taylor.

Virginia grew up in Arkansas City. She and Jack were married December 22, 1950, and moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma where they raised their three children. Virginia moved to Bella Vista with Jack in 1984. She loved tennis, golf, Crazy Canasta, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas Clarke Taylor and David Scott Taylor, her daughter, Janice Leigh Sills; her brother, Gareth Baum; fourteen (14) grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 1013 Kingsland Rd, Bella Vista. A graveside service will be held at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Arkansas City, Kansas at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020, followed by a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Kingdom Hall in Bella Vista or the American Cancer Society.
