You were the best mom I could have. You knew what was on my heart without me saying a word, knew exactly what you say and prayed thousands of prayers for us all. We had a closeness that won't ever be replaced. My hearts so much without you here. I can't wait to be with you again one day momma, my best friend. You are always in my heart. Love, Amy

Goodness I can’t think of many childhood memories that don’t include Shirley or her family. She was one of the first Ladies that taught me the importance of hiding Gods word in my heart. She encouraged me to love Jesus and let Him be my guide. As a teen she became like a second mother to me. As an adult she prayed with me and encouraged me to pray with others with boldness.

When I had kids of my own she loved them and poured into their lives with the same passion she poured into my life.

I’ll never forget her cinnamon rolls, the power of her prayers, the abundance of Avon books she had, her talent for writing and her love of lipstick. She was one of a kind in all the great ways!

Shirley - you are gone from this world but you are most definitely present with our Savior. You’ve left behind a legacy that will continue for generations to come. Say Hi to my momma for me. Love you so much!!.
