Obituary

Robert Gunn Robinson, Jr. "Robbie", 75, of Bella Vista, Arkansas left on November 12,2020 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. Robbie was born on December 28, 1944, in Chester, Pennsylvania to Florence Miles Schrock and Robert Gunn Robinson Sr.

At the age of 16, Robbie went to live with Pastor Newmar who passed on many life lessons that he shared with his loved ones for years to come. In 1968, Robbie moved to San Diego where he learned to play golf, his passion in life. In 1988 he started the employment publication, The Job Guide. In 1996 on a blue moon, he and the love of his life, Angela Robinson, moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas where they expanded The Job Guide and made Northwest Arkansas their home.

Robbie loved golf, his grandkids, and co-creating life with his family. He had a large laugh, an open smile, and a wicked sense of humor he passed on to some lucky grandkids. Robbie will be remembered as being authentic, bold, outspoken, proud, and fun. He was surrounded many late nights by his grandchildren around their kitchen table, discussing life questions and smart business moves.

Robbie is survived by his wife, two daughters, one son, ten grandchildren and extended family. Survivors are: Angela Robinson, Jane Calkins and her husband Roger, of Bentonville. Terry Robinson, of Idaho, Solange “Sunny” Martinez and husband Alex of Bentonville. Grandchildren are: Jerry Schuman, Amanda Strong and Husband Travis Strong of California. Jamie Nix and husband Tariq LaHouari of Rabat, Morocco. Hannah Robinson, Robert Gunn Robinson III, Ethan Martinez , Jude Martinez, Levi Robinson, Greyson Calkins and Orvella Calkins on Bentonville. Great-Grands: Brantley Strong and Maren Strong. Extended family: Patsy and Lynn Garnett, Peggy and Ron Barbour, Joe Hughes, Sunny Lane, Hayley and Taryn Willis.

At Robbie's request, his remains will be cremated and when 2020 is finally over a memorial will be held on a golf course.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be sent to Circle of Life Bentonville or ALS Association of Arkansas.
