Edd,
Know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. The memories of the times that you spent with your brother will be with you forever. Know that you have extended family to the east who are supporting you during this most difficult time. See you soon.

Sending condolences to the family. Death is an enemy we all have in common. We look forward to the time when death is swallowed up. (Isaiah 25:8) and our loved ones asleep in death are restored back to life. (Acts 24:15) A promise soon to be fulfilled. “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.” - John 5:28,29

I want to offer my condolences to the Slaughter family and friends. Our Almighty Heavenly Father knows the pain you feel from the loss of your love one. He did not purpose his human family to die but to live and enjoy life forever. This is still his purpose (Psalms 37:11, 29). He calls death an enemy that will be removed forever along with all pain and suffering__ 1 Corinthians 15:26; Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” Notice his promise to awaken all those in the memorial tombs from asleep in death¬__ Isaiah 26:19 “Your dead will live ...Awake and shout joyfully you residents in the dust! ...the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." What a delight it will be to see them again! Allow these words to keep comforting all of you.
