Doug and I were very close cousins while living in Goodman, Missouri. We played all of the time and loved going to our grandparents house. Doug moved to Leadville, Colorado where Rick and I were living, we enjoyed getting to visit and he was there when my first child was born.

I have such wonderful memories of Doug that I will always cherish. He loved his wife, children, and grand-kids very much, I know he will be missed deeply.
Love, Judy Ince (cousin)

My Big Brother and I were truly blessed to be born to our parents, Ralph and Dorlene Williams. Doug was eight years older than me, so he always took care of me at a very early age. In 2019, Doug and I got to watch together all of our home movies from our childhood. It was great to watch the movies to relive our childhood together, the trips and the family gatherings, and it was very apparent that since I was an infant that Doug was looking out for me.

After I graduated college in 1983, Doug and I drove around the Western United States visiting various places I had been accepted for law school. We both fell in love with California on that trip, and I decided to go to Pepperdine. Some of my best memories of Doug were when we both lived in Malibu, California, in the 1980s. We enjoyed living on the beach in Malibu, and exploring the cultural sites of Los Angeles, i.e,. the nightlife. When Doug lived in Leadville, Colorado, the highest town in the United States, the family and I enjoyed visiting to see him and his family, and be in the Alpine scenery to do some snow skiing. Another great memory was during my wedding in Maui, when Sandy and I got to spend time with Doug and Sally touring in Maui and Honolulu.

Doug was an entrepreneur his entire life. He started, owned and operated various successful businesses, including the Big W Drive In Restaurant in Goodman, Missouri, the City of Goodman cable TV company, a large chicken egg farm outside of Goodman, and in more recent years several internet based businesses. I worked with Doug at the restaurant and the farm when I was a teenager, and his hard work and dedication instilled in me a strong work ethic for my life.

But Doug’s passion in life was the love he had for Sally and all of his family, including Candace, Laura and Tony, and his grandchildren. I know that Doug will miss you all greatly, and that this world will not be the same without him.
Your Loving Little Brother, Tim
