Obituary

Marjorie Ann (Matrow) Stiers, age 97, passed away in Fayetteville, AR on June 14, 2020. Born August 6, 1922, in Junction City, Kansas she was the daughter of John and Annie Matrow. She married Robert Allen Stiers in 1942. Marge was the bookkeeper for Collier Drug Stores for 35 years. In retirement, she enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends, an occasional trip to the casino, and spending time with her large family. Marge was a devoted member of Grace Cumberland Presbyterian Church and loved her church family. She is preceded in death by her husband, and two sons, Terry Robert Stiers and Rick Lee Stiers. Survivors include a son, John, and two daughters, Debbie and Susan, as well as five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She was the matriarch of a family who loved and admired her and will do their best to make her proud in the coming years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Grace Cumberland Church Mission Fund.
