Obituary

Lawrence C Wigent, 78 years old, of Bella Vista Arkansas went to be with the Lord on July 12,2020 at The Circle of Life Hospice Home at Legacy Village in Bentonville Arkansas. He was born on August 14, 1941 in Cuba, New York to Stuart C Wigent and Joan Poore Wigent. Larry joined the Navy in August 1959 and served 10 years. He was a radar man on sea duty and radio man on shore duty. He was a member of Crew 13 flying out of Argentia, Newfoundland on "Willy Victors" and Rhode Island "Willy Fuds" aboard the USS Randolph and later out of Norfolk, Virginia. They were present at the "Cuban Crisis". He was a crew member on the "Haywagon", Admiral Heyward's plane. Larry loved flying. After his service was done with the Navy, he worked at Acme Electric as a Electronic Engineering Technician in Cuba, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Terry Wigent. He Is survived by his wife of 60 years, Georgia Wigent and a daughter Larisa Caldwell and a son Christopher Wigent. Three grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. Three sister in laws - Linda Wigent, Elly Griffin, Elaine McKee; 3 nieces, 7 nephews and many cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
