Glenn Eugene Boyer was born in Virginia, MN on March 29, 1933. He was the youngest of nine children and the last living survivor of his family. He died on Nov 16, 2019. God gave Glenn a love and compassion for the underdog, the downtrodden and people that society would often leave behind. This would define his life.

Glenn entered the U.S. Navy in 1953 where he served as a Petty Officer, Second Class and a Pattern Maker. After serving in the military, he became a pastor and used his talents as a craftsman and pattern maker to build baptistries, communion tables, pulpits and pews in churches throughout MN and WI. He had a huge heart for people, which was a natural extension of his genuine love for the Lord.

Glenn is survived by his wife Ruth, who he married in 1958. The two were married for 61 years. He is also survived by his five children and their families: daughter Cindy Schmidt of McKinney, TX, son Theron Boyer of Seoul, South Korea, son Thayne Boyer of Ham Lake, MN, son Chadd Boyer of International Falls, MN and daughter Shealyn Broach of Rogers, Arkansas. He also leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, each of whom he prayed for faithfully by name, every day.

Glenn will be missed. But his spirit remains with us, as the prayers he lifted up on behalf of family and friends everywhere are evidence of his deep love for his fellow man.

A memorial service honoring Glenn was held in Rogers, AR on November 18, 2019. A second memorial will be scheduled for summer 2020 for those in the Northern Minnesota area.
