Obituary

David Jack Wilson, 75, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at home surrounded by loved ones after an extended illness. He was born on December 21, 1944 at home in Osceola, Arkansas to Florine and Lester Ernest “Jack” Wilson.
David grew up in Osceola with his sister, Sue Quinn, and their cousins. He graduated from Osceola High School where he was a proud member of the Seminole football team. He attended the University of Arkansas and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University.
Music was a big part of David’s life. He could play any instrument, but loved to sing and play the piano. He had many bands that played in various venues in Arkansas and surrounding states. He loved family, fishing and the Razorbacks.
In 1975 he moved to Springdale and worked in the food service industry. He met and married the love of his life, Wilma, on Valentine’s Day, 1989. They were parents to their daughter, Diana Florine.
David was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ann Wilson and Juanda Catching, and granddaughter Mandy Wynne.
Survivors include wife Wilma, daughter and son-in-law Diana and Tyler Franklin, sister and brother-in-law Sue Quinn and Bob Winn, stepdaughters Tammy Holt and Lisa Wynne, all 5 grandchildren, niece Susie Winn, and 2 nephews Wade and Wilson Winn. He will be missed by all his family, friends, and by his faithful dog, Curly.
David was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He never met a stranger and, like a true Southern gentleman, he always paid a lady a compliment. The life of the party just made Heaven a little brighter.
There will be no service.
Please, instead of flowers you can donate to the St. Jude Research Fund.
