I first met Clay when I was a contractor for the Air Force. He then hired me away to become a DoD civilian under his leadership. It was after than when I forged a very close bond with Clay and Martha. Clay was like a father I never had growing up and I considered them both family. I am heartbroken for his family and I will miss Clay with all my heart. I will never forget him teaching me to drive the tractor on the farm in Arkansas or letting me shoot all of his guns. We had many good times that I will cherish forever. Clay will always hold a special place in my heart.

Clay was an amazing husband, father and friend and I would like to tell you more about him

As a child his family moved around quite a bit living in several southern states. They settled in Fort Smith Arkansas when he was in high school and his parents always remained there.

He joined the Air Force, married Sarah, had several stateside assignments and two tours to Thailand during the Visit Nam war. He was a crew chief on a F4 fighter jets which was his favorite job in his life time. After 8 years on active duty and now with 2 precious babies as well, he returned to civilian life and went to college. He received his BS from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. He returned to the Air Force as civilian this time and finished his career as an Environmental Manager at Patrick AFB, FL in the Space Program

Clay and I met in 1992 and spent 27 wonderful, adventurous years together retiring in 2004 to our beloved hobby farm here in NW Arkansas. We live near our children and grandchildren and feel richly blessed to have such a loving family and so many dear friends. I miss my wonderful husband but I am so grateful for many years of amazing memories I will cherish forever.
