He was born on March 26, 1948 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Otis Gene & Doris Evans Carson. He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara McClure Carson, on October 21, 1967 in Springdale. David worked in retail management including Wal-Mart until 1981. He owned and operated Carson Radiator in Springdale until 1999. He served as a Deacon of Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He was a veteran of the US Army. He loved bass fishing, woodworking, crossword puzzles, and of course spending all of the time he could enjoying his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Dan Carson and his wife, Temple, and John Carson and his wife, Kristin; his mother, Doris Carson Brooks, all of Springdale; two brothers, Larry Carson and his wife, Diane of Fayetteville, and Gary Carson of Johnson; a sister, Shirley Watson and her husband, Rick of Ft. Smith; and four grandchildren, Riley Carson, Katie Beth Carson, Ian Carson, and Gillian Carson.
